"The Qur'an contains various verses explaining the potential of the universe, including the sea, which is subjected for the benefit of humanity. These verses provide signs regarding biological wealth, transportation routes, and stern warnings against causing destruction (fasād) that harms ecosystems and human health. Currently, marine management crises such as overexploitation and waste pollution have become urgent global issues, reflected in the high rates of illegal fishing and pollution in Indonesian waters.\r\nThis research is motivated by the lack of attention toward sustainable marine management. The focus of the study is directed at the thoughts of Ṭanṭāwi Jauharī in Tafsīr Al-Jawāhir, a pioneer in the scientific (ilmī) interpretation approach. The research questions include how the verses regarding the sea are interpreted, the efforts required for sustainable preservation, and their relevance to modern science.\r\nThe research method used is qualitative (library research). Primary data is sourced from the book Tafsīr Al-Jawāhir by Ṭanṭāwi Jauharī, analyzing selected verses such as QS. An-Nahl: 14, QS. Al-Isrā’: 70, QS. Fāṭir: 12, QS. Al-Jāṡiyah: 12, and QS. Ar-Raḥmān: 19 & 24. Data analysis was conducted thematically using a scientific interpretation approach to dissect the link between revelatory texts and natural reality scientifically.\r\nThe results show that: 1. The marine potential in Tafsīr Al-Jawāhir encompasses biological (food), ecological (balance), economic (trade), and technological (scientific development) dimensions. 2. Proposed conservation efforts include maintaining water quality, regulating environmentally friendly fishing technologies, sustainable economic management, and building an ethical maritime civilization. 3. Ṭanṭāwī's interpretation proves relevant to mode rn science, including: Oceanography, through the concept of the halocline in the barrier between two seas (barzakh), physics and technology through the application of Archimedes' principle and biomimicry in submarines, marine biology through taxonomic precision in Porifera and a sustainable Blue Economy."^^ .
