        abstract = {This study examines the symbolic interpretation of Qur?anic verses used as love talismans in the form of Isim Jalbu al-Ma{\d h}abbah as formulated in Manba? U{\d s}{\=u}l al-{\d H}ikmah and al-Auf{\=a}q. Isim is understood as a azimat composed of selected Qur?anic verses combined with Asma al-Husna, letter mysticism, wifiq, and other elements within the tradition of ?ilm al-hikmah. The focus of this research is directed toward the text of the isim as a symbolic construction, rather than its empirical use in social practice.
This research employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach. The analysis of the textual structure of the isim, the arrangement of verses, and the supporting elements is conducted through a descriptive reading of the text as formulated in the literature of Islamic esoteric knowledge and within the framework of khaww{\=a}{\d s} al-Qur?an. Ernst Cassirer?s theory of the function of symbolic representation is applied in a limited manner, solely to analyze the representational function of symbols operating within the text of Isim Jalbu al-Ma{\d h}abbah.
The findings indicate that the Qur?anic verses in the text of Isim Jalbu al-Ma{\d h}abbah are not treated as narrative exegetical texts, but rather as symbols arranged to represent the concepts of Ma{\d h}abbah, the softening of the heart, and harmonious human relationships. The structure of the isim demonstrates the integration of selected verses and supporting elements into a unified symbolic whole. Within the limited application of Cassirer?s theoretical framework, the text of the isim functions as a medium of symbolic representation that connects human beings with the transcendent dimension through expressive, intuitive, and conceptual functions. Thus, Isim Jalbu al-Ma{\d h}abbah can be understood as a form of symbolic processing of the Qur?an within the tradition of ?ilm al-hikmah.}
