They are directly faced with a condition of double vulnerability They are vulnerable due to the inmate label and are physically vulnerable, these two things are unique dynamics in interacting with the community, whether the status of inmates can be an obstacle to interaction or the elderly factor is actually able to facilitate their interaction process. This study uses a qualitative research approach with data collection methods consisting of Interviews, Observations and Documentation. For Data Analysis Techniques, it refers to the Miles and Huberman technique, namely Reduction, Data Presentation and Conclusion Drawn. The findings of this study are analyzed based on the theory of Social Interaction and supported by Howard Backer's Labeling theory. The results of this study show the diversity of social interaction between the Elderly WBP and the community where (1) Associative social interaction is obtained from (the process of cooperation in the form of collective activities of the elderly with the community in the scope of Religion and Socio-Culture, the process of Accommodation in the form of tolerance of residents for WBP cases, and Assimilation in the form of the fusion of the identity of prisoners into citizens can be through various channels) and (2) Dissociative Interaction is still visible through (Competition of roles and influence within the family, Contradiction of the rumors of residents due to the status of Prisoners and Conflicts between the Elderly WBP and the criminal reporters) but the Elderly WBP also did not give up on the Label. (3) They mitigate in various ways such as (Reframing the Inmate label through the dominance of religious activities, Family Support and Correctional Center Programs). Overall, the status of elderly is considered to be a protection for WBPs in reducing their Prisoner Labels, but it cannot completely eliminate the label. Thus, the social reintegration of the elderly after retirement is a process that continues to be negotiated through daily interactions, social support, and the ability of individuals to reshape their identity. For novelty, the researcher suggested that the next researcher highlight the interaction of the Elderly WBP from different criminal cases.
