description: The representation of queer Muslim women in Indonesian media is often shrouded  in stigma, stereotypes, and heteronormative discourse. Previous studies have  focused more on text analysis and discourse framing, without in-depth examination  of the visual aspects. This study aims to analyze and understand how queer Muslim  women are represented in editorial illustrations in the online magazine  Magdalene.co. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with Charles  Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis method linked to Stuart Hall's theory of  representation. The research objects are three Magdalene.co editorial illustrations  that display Muslim women's identities in relation to queer symbols. The results  show that Magdalene.co represents queer Muslim women through editorial  illustrations in an inclusive, symbolic, and negotiative manner. This study  concludes that Magdalene.co's editorial illustrations function not merely as  complements to text but as arenas for the production of meaning that affirm the  agency, faith, and diversity of queer Muslim women's identities in the Indonesian  public sphere. This research is expected to enrich studies of visual communication,  media studies, and progressive Islam studies related to the representation of  marginalized groups in digital media.
