In Islamic boarding schools, one form of student achievement is success in memorizing the Qur’an. However, the memorization process involves various challenges, including homesickness and fluctuations in motivation. This study aims to examine the relationship between homesickness and motivation with Qur’an memorization achievement among students. The study employed a quantitative correlational method using a homesickness scale and a motivation scale, while memorization achievement was measured through students’ tahfizh scores. The research was conducted at PP Taruna Al-Qur’an Putri with 71 seventh-grade MTs students as participants. The results showed that homesickness and motivation were simultaneously significantly related to Qur’an memorization achievement (p = 0.006 < 0.05). Partially, homesickness was not significantly related to memorization achievement, although it showed a negative direction, whereas motivation was significantly related with an effective contribution of 6.74%. It can be concluded that higher motivation is associated with higher Qur’an memorization achievement. Homesickness does not function as an inhibiting factor, while motivation plays a more dominant role in supporting students’ Qur’an memorization achievement. %Z Dr. Maya Fitria, S.Psi., M.A., Psikolog
