"Achievement plays an important role in life as it is closely related to self-confidence and\r\npositive self-evaluation, while failure to achieve may lead to negative emotions such as feelings of\r\nshame and low self-esteem. In Islamic boarding schools, one form of student achievement is success\r\nin memorizing the Qur’an. However, the memorization process involves various challenges,\r\nincluding homesickness and fluctuations in motivation. This study aims to examine the relationship\r\nbetween homesickness and motivation with Qur’an memorization achievement among students. The\r\nstudy employed a quantitative correlational method using a homesickness scale and a motivation\r\nscale, while memorization achievement was measured through students’ tahfizh scores. The research\r\nwas conducted at PP Taruna Al-Qur’an Putri with 71 seventh-grade MTs students as participants.\r\nThe results showed that homesickness and motivation were simultaneously significantly related to\r\nQur’an memorization achievement (p = 0.006 < 0.05). Partially, homesickness was not significantly\r\nrelated to memorization achievement, although it showed a negative direction, whereas motivation\r\nwas significantly related with an effective contribution of 6.74%. It can be concluded that higher\r\nmotivation is associated with higher Qur’an memorization achievement. Homesickness does not\r\nfunction as an inhibiting factor, while motivation plays a more dominant role in supporting students’\r\nQur’an memorization achievement."^^ . "2026-01-28" . . . .
