Being a single parent, especially with a single parent, is a challenging condition, a single parent is required to carry out a dual role, namely taking over responsibilities that were previously shared. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of 4 single parents Data analysis. The results of this study indicate that: first, single parent mothers carry out dual roles as breadwinners, managing the household while fulfilling the role of childcare. Second, single parent care applies a democratic parenting style that emphasizes affection, discipline, and open communication. Third, challenges faced by single parents include economic limitations, time, physical and emotional exhaustion, and social stigma. To overcome these, single parents implement strategies in the form of time management between work and childcare, utilizing family support, simple financial management, and maintaining emotional closeness with children through communication.
