When there are no gadgets, children often watch television. Many parents give gadgets so that their children are not distracted while studying. Children can search and choose their own applications. Parents limit the use of gadgets for entertainment or to calm crying children. They are aware that the use of gadgets has positive and negative impacts. The negative impacts include reduced study time, delaying routine activities such as eating, bathing, sleeping and studying, increased dependence on gadgets, lying behavior, and a lack of concern for the environment. Meanwhile, the positive impacts include helping children develop problem-solving skills and supporting moral formation. This research aims to: 1) identify parents' perceptions in regulating gadget use; 2) describe parents' parenting patterns in gadget settings; and 3) describe the challenges and obstacles faced by parents in regulating the use of gadgets on the development of children's moral values. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, namely a research method that focuses on collecting data in the form of words and images, not numbers. Purposive sampling technique was used to select research subjects based on certain criteria. This criterion includes individuals who have a deep understanding of the topic or who play a significant role, thus helping researchers in analyzing objects and social situations. The research subjects consisted of members of 5 families on Rt 05 Sumur Bandung. Which consists of father, mother and child. This research uses three data collection methods, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that the use of gadgets in early childhood has positive impacts, such as new learning, and negative impacts, such as a lack of responsibility for children's moral values and the potential for gadget addiction. Parents feel it is important to limit and supervise the use of gadgets so that the benefits remain maximum and the risks are minimal. They have tried to regulate the time they use gadgets, but face challenges such as busy parents who hinder supervision. Apart from that, children often refuse when asked to stop using gadgets. Parents need to improve the quality of assistance and instill moral values so that children can use technology wisely.
