"Creeping into an institution of early childhood education,\r\nradicalizing religious thoughts is a serious threat to the future of a\r\nnation. The absence of religious moderation values in PAUD/RA is\r\nlikely to be the reason of exclusivity and religion-intolerance\r\ncharacter. It indicates the urgency that the values should be introduced\r\nto children from the very young age to give them a foundation of a\r\ncharacter of tolerance, inclusive, and respect. Social-organizationbased\r\neducation institutions play a strategic role in integrating\r\nreligious moderation values into everyday learning practice; and\r\nPAUD Al Washliyah and RA Aisyiyah of Medan have been successful\r\nin doing so. The objectives of this study are to analyse the\r\nimplementation of the character education strategy of religious\r\nmoderation for young children, to discover the impact of the character\r\neducation, and to understand the construction of such education which\r\nis carried out by PAUD Al Washliyah and RA Aisyiyah of Medsan,\r\non the field finding basis.\r\nThis qualitative research applies a case study under\r\nconstructive-critical paradigm approach. While the research subjects\r\ncomprise the head masters, teachers and parents from both schools, the\r\nresearch object is the implementation of a character education on\r\nreligious moderation under early childhood learning context. The\r\ntheoretical frameworks are Five Ps Caleb Rosado (paradigm, policy,\r\nprogram, personnel, practice), theory of ecology from Bronfenbrenner\r\n(microsystem, meso-system, ecosystem, macro-system, chronosystem),\r\nand theory of character education. Collected through\r\ninterviews, observations, and document examination, data are being\r\nanalysed under Miles and Huberman model, ffrom data condensation,\r\ndisplay, and conclusion drawing with verification. The data validity\r\nand credibility is ascertain through triangulation technic and source\r\ntriangulation.\r\nThe results show as follow. 1) The implementation of religious\r\nmoderation in PAUD Al Washliyah and RA Aisyiyah of Medan shows a synergy among philosophical foundation, adaptable policy, and\r\nactual practice. The success lies on the ability to interpret macro\r\nconcept (Tajdid-Aswaja paradigm, KMA No. 450/2024) into an actual\r\nmicro practices of a teacher as a “living curriculum”, sentra imtaq,\r\nregular dhikr, and respect-the-difference habituation. A tripartite\r\npartnership with parents and persistent habituation like flag-raising\r\nceremony and peaceful conflict mediation build a holistic ecosystem.\r\nThe experience proves that religious moderation can be instilled from\r\na very young age through exemplary and collaboration, to create a\r\ngeneration with unwavering faith, yet welcoming to differences. 2) An\r\neducation on religious moderation character builds positive attitude\r\nand behaviour of the students of PAUD Al Washliyah and RA\r\nAisyiyah of Medan. They share toys and food willingly, mediate\r\nconflicts independently, communicate calmly, address each other\r\npolitely, queue consistently, and tidy up the classroom together. A\r\nmoderate attitude toward religion is manifested in their habits, such as\r\nspontaneous dhikr words, absence from mocking the no-pray yet, and\r\nrespect-minded over different faiths with no negative suspicion.\r\nAppreciation of the diversity is also seen through language and\r\ncostume admiration and play-together invitation to the isolated with\r\nno discrimination. Positive character is built through forgiving attitude\r\nand spontaneous thank you-please-sorry expressions, the performance\r\nof a successful building a character of moderate, tolerant, and good\r\ndeed. 3) The construction of character education of religious\r\nmoderation in PAUD Al Washliyah and RA Asyiyah of Medan results\r\nin 2P holistic models (psychology and digital platform) which are the\r\ntransformation approach from 5P Rosado into psyco-sociotechnological\r\nmoderate-character formation."^^ .
