One factor that is assumed to play a role in maintaining psychological well-being is social support. This study aims to analyze the effect of perceived social support on the psychological well-being of incarcerated drug addicts at the Class IIA Narcotics Correctional Facility in Yogyakarta. This research employed a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique involving 188 respondents. The research instruments consisted of a perceived social support scale based on the aspects proposed by Sarafino and Smith and a psychological well-being scale based on Ryff?s theory. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression after fulfilling the classical assumption tests. The results indicate that perceived social support has a significant effect on psychological well-being (p < 0.05), with a coefficient of determination (Rē) of 0.264. This finding indicates that perceived social support is one of the factors that contributes significantly, but it is not the only factor influencing the psychological well-being of inmates, as most of the variance is still affected by other factors outside the research model. This study has several limitations, including the use of self-report (questionnaire) instruments that may lead to subjective bias and the research context being limited to a correctional institution environment; therefore, the generalization of the results should be carried out with caution.
