Local media occupy a strategic position in framing this reality of diversity, particularly through coverage of annual religious festivals that involve interfaith participation. This study aims to analyze the communication strategies of local media in promoting religious moderation, examine the construction of narratives and media framing of religious festivals as multicultural public spaces, and understand public perceptions and acceptance of religious moderation messages conveyed by local media in Labuan Bajo. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving local media, religious leaders, and relevant stakeholders. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model emphasizing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that local media implement strategies such as tolerance-oriented framing, reinforcement of local wisdom values, utilization of digital platforms, and gatekeeping practices regarding sensitive issues in promoting religious moderation. Religious festivals are constructed as representational spaces of interfaith togetherness that affirm Labuan Bajo?s identity as a tolerant region. The study also reveals differences in the intensity and patterns of campaigns among media outlets, which influence public perceptions and levels of acceptance of religious moderation messages. Overall, local media play a significant role as agents of social communication in strengthening harmony and social cohesion within a multicultural society. The findings further show that interfaith communities demonstrate positive perceptions and a high level of acceptance toward religious moderation messages delivered by local media, although variations in the intensity of media roles remain evident.} }
