This practice is not merely related to the issue of the legal minimum age of marriage under state law, but is also influenced by cultural values, customary law, and community legal behavior. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of early marriage in Dusun Palasari, Majalengka Regency, by employing two theoretical frameworks: Hilman Hadikusumo’s legal anthropology and Talcott Parsons’ structural functionalism through the AGIL scheme. This research employs a qualitative method with a socio-legal approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving individuals who experienced early marriage as well as community leaders. The data were analyzed descriptively to understand early marriage as a social and legal practice existing within the community. From the perspective of Hilman Hadikusumo’s legal anthropology, early marriage is understood as a legal practice shaped by cultural values, social structures, customary law, and community legal behavior. The settlement of household issues tends to rely on informal, family-based, and customary mechanisms rather than formal state law. Furthermore, through Talcott Parsons’ structural functionalism using the AGIL scheme, early marriage is viewed as part of a social system that fulfills the functions of adaptation, goal attainment, integration, and pattern maintenance within the community of Dusun Palasari. The findings indicate that early marriage operates as an institutionalized and socially functional practice, even though it does not fully conform to state legal regulations. date: 2026-01-28 date_type: published pages: 99 institution: UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: FAKULTAS SYARIAH DAN HUKUM thesis_type: skripsi thesis_name: other citation: Safrianto, NIM.: 19103050046 (2026) ANALISIS ANTROPOLOGI HUKUM TERHADAP PENYEBAB PERNIKAHAN DINI (STUDI KASUS DI DUSUN PALASARI, DESA SUKASARI KIDUL, KECAMATAN ARGAPURA, KABUPATEN MAJALENGKA).
