"This research was conducted in a landslide area characterized by soil creep in Deot\r\nHamlet, Totogan Village, Karangsambung District, Kebumen. The study aims to\r\nanalyze subsurface ground density profiles to identify rock types within the\r\nlandslide zone using the ellipticity curve method and to assess landslide potential.\r\nData were acquired using the microtremor method at 17 measurement points with\r\nintervals of approximately ±50 meters. The study area is located within the\r\ncoordinate boundaries of 109° 40' 35.9'' E to 109° 46' 3'' E and 7° 31' 09.2'' S to 7°\r\n31' 12.5'' S, and is composed of Schist and Phyllite Formations. The recorded\r\nmicrotremor signals were filtered to remove noise and processed using the HVSR\r\n(Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio) method to obtain HVSR curves, which were\r\nthen used as input for the ellipticity curve method to estimate density values and\r\ntheir corresponding depths. The results show that density values of < 1764 kg/m³\r\nrepresent surface soil, 1764–2243 kg/m³ correspond to clay, 2244–2800 kg/m³\r\nindicate phyllite, and > 2800 kg/m³ represent schist. The identified ground\r\nmovement type is soil creep, caused by the bedrock slope dipping in the same\r\ndirection as the surface slope of the study area.
