The village, as a legal community unit, has the authority to regulate and\r\nmanage its own affairs as stipulated in Law Number 3 of 2024 concerning\r\namendments to Law Number 6 of 2014 on Villages. Within this framework, the\r\nvillage government plays a strategic role in managing Village Funds, developing\r\nVillage-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), and encouraging community participation\r\nthrough village deliberation forums. However, in practice, several obstacles\r\nremain, such as suboptimal management of BUMDes, limited understanding of\r\npolicies, and the potential misuse of funds, which have hindered the maximization\r\nof local economic improvement. This research aims to analyze the role of the village\r\ngovernment in enhancing the community’s economy and to examine it based on the\r\nprinciples of Fiqh Siyāsah.\r\nThis research is field research employing a normative juridical approach\r\nwith a descriptive qualitative nature. Primary data were obtained through\r\nobservation, interviews with village officials and community members, and\r\ndocumentation in Teluk Dalem Village. Secondary data were derived from statutory\r\nregulations, books, journals, and related literature. Data analysis was conducted\r\ndeductively through stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing.\r\nThe results of the study indicate that the role of the Teluk Dalem Village\r\nGovernment in improving the community’s economy through the utilization of its\r\nauthority is in line with Law No. 3 of 2024, particularly through the management\r\nof Village Funds, the development of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes),\r\ncommunity empowerment through skills training, and the development of local\r\neconomic potential and leading village products. These programs are implemented\r\nusing a participatory approach so that the community is not merely positioned as\r\nan object but also as a subject in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of\r\nvillage economic development. From the perspective of Fiqh Siyāsah and Islamic\r\neconomics, this role is also consistent with the principles of trust (amanah), justice\r\n(‘adl), deliberation (syura), and orientation toward public welfare (maslahah),\r\nwhere every policy of the leader is directed toward improving community welfare.\r\nThe implementation of the principle tasharruf al-imam ‘ala ra’iyyatihi manutun bil\r\nmaslahah emphasizes that village economic policies must be based on public\r\nbenefit.
