Therefore, the state, through labor legislation, provides special legal protection for female workers who are employed at night. This study aims to examine the forms of legal protection for female night shift workers based on the provisions of Indonesian laws and regulations and to analyze their implementation at the K-24 Raya Janti Bantul Pharmacy in Yogyakarta. The focus of the research is directed at the conformity between the legal norms stipulated in Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower and its implementing regulations, particularly Article 76 and Decree of the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration Number KEP.224/MEN/2003, with the legal protection practices applied by the company. This study is field research with a legal-empirical approach and is descriptive and qualitative in nature. Data was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with female night shift workers, managers of the K-24 Raya Janti Bantul Pharmacy in Yogyakarta, and officials from the Manpower Office, supplemented by documentation studies and literature studies on relevant laws and regulations and legal doctrines. The research analysis used Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower and its implementing regulations, the Pancasila industrial relations theory which emphasizes balance and harmony in labor relations, and the legal protection theory which focuses on preventive and repressive protection. The results of the study show that: first, the implementation of legal protection for female night shift workers at the K-24 Raya Janti Bantul Pharmacy in Yogyakarta has basically been carried out, as indicated by the existence of work system and shift distribution arrangements, fulfillment of wage rights, participation in employment social security, and night work arrangements with more than one worker as a form of safety protection. However, its implementation is not yet fully optimal. Second, as reviewed in Article 76 of the Manpower Act, Minister of Manpower and Transmigration Decree Number KEP.224/MEN/2003, Law No. 6 of 2023 concerning the Stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law No. 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation into Law, and Government Regulation No. 35 of 2021, there are still discrepancies in the fulfillment of special facilities for female night shift workers, particularly regarding the provision of nutritious food and drinks and shuttle facilities. This situation indicates a gap between legal norms and practices in the field.
