These differences not only influence the pre-marital process but also shape the dynamics of married life after marriage. In practice, couples face various forms of adjustment, including marriage customs, relationships with extended families, communication patterns, and the division of roles between husband and wife. This situation makes cross-border marriage a space for ongoing cultural negotiation. This study used a qualitative approach with field research methods. Data were obtained through interviews with couples in mixed marriages between Indonesian students and Egyptian citizens, as well as documentation. Data analysis was conducted using Pierre Bourdieu's habitus theory framework, specifically the concepts of habitus, capital, field, and social practice, to understand the relationship between social structures and individual actions in shaping patterns of married life. The results show that cultural negotiation takes place from the pre-marital stage through daily domestic life. These dynamics are evident in the process of acceptance by the Egyptian family, the implementation of marriage customs, patterns of interaction and communication, and the division of domestic and public roles. Couples do not fully reproduce their respective cultures of origin, but instead build agreements through compromise and adaptation. The distribution of economic, educational, social, and symbolic capital influences a couple's bargaining position within the household and determines the extent to which role negotiations can proceed in a balanced manner. %K Perkawinan Lintas Negara, Negosiasi Budaya, Habitus, Mahasiswa Indonesia-Mesir %D 2026 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib75983
