In this context, career prospects are often a key consideration in making decisions about further study. This study aims to determine the influence of admissions content on the decision to choose a study program among students in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) study programs, graduating in 2025, and the role of career prospects as a control variable. The research uses a quantitative method with variable X namely admission content, variable Y namely the decision to choose a study program, and variable Z namely career prospects based on Decision Making Theory by Kotler and Armstrong. The research was conducted in the PAI and PIAUD Study Programs of UIN Sunan Kalijaga class of 2025 with the Slovin formula calculation obtained 104 samples for PAI and 58 samples for PIAUD selected by simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using bivariate correlation, partial correlation, and multiple linear regression by fulfilling the prerequisite tests namely normality test and multicollinearity test. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire with the data analysis process using (Statistical Product and Social Sciences) SPSS 26. The results show a positive and significant relationship and influence between admission content and the decision to choose PAI and PIAUD study programs, but this influence mainly operates through career prospects as indicated by the bivariate correlation values of 0.748 and 0.739 which are greater than the partial correlation values of 0.482 and 0.304. The regression equation for PAI is Y = 2.917 + 0.268X + 0.542Z. Meanwhile, the regression equation for PIAUD is Y = 6.885 + 0.168X + 0.634Z. The influence of Z is greater than X to Y. Therefore, Z is truly a mediator of X to Y. The implication is that the relationship between X and Y that appeared previously was spurious or fake or not real. Simultaneously (together) these variables explain 67.6% of the variation in the decision to choose PAI study program and 68% of the variation in the decision to choose PIAUD study program.
