%T ANALISIS EFISIENSI KINERJA KEUANGAN PADA BANK SYARIAH INDONESIA SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH MERGER (Studi Kasus Bank Syariah Indonesia Tahun 2018-2023)
%X This study aims to analyze the financial performance efficiency of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) before and after the merger in the period 2018–2023. This merger combined three state-owned Islamic banks, namely BNI Syariah, BRI Syariah, and Bank Syariah Mandiri, into a new entity called BSI which began operating in 2021. The analysis was conducted using a quantitative approach with the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) methods, which represent non-parametric and parametric approaches in measuring technical efficiency, respectively. The input variables used include operating expenses and third-party funds, while the output consists of operating income and total financing. The results show that the bank's financial performance efficiency increased post-merger, with BSI showing a high and stable efficiency score. These findings indicate that the merger has a positive impact on operational efficiency and the effectiveness of resource utilization, and demonstrate that the use of two analytical approaches provides complementary and comprehensive results.
