At this stage, students require proper guidance to help them make well-considered career decisions. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were two school counselors, four twelfth-grade students, one subject teacher, and one school representative. Data were collected through interviews and then analyzed using NVivo features. The results show that school counselors at MAN 4 Bantul perform several roles, namely as informators, motivators, facilitators, mediators, and directors. These roles are implemented through providing information about educational and career pathways, strengthening students’ motivation, facilitating interest and aptitude tests, mediating between students and parents, and providing direction based on students’ interests, talents, and conditions. These five roles are interconnected and form a career guidance service system that supports students in making career choices and facing the transition to further education. %Z Moh.
