In a society that continues to uphold traditional and religious values, transgender individuals frequently face stigma and discrimination. However, Yayasan Kebaya has demonstrated a relatively high level of social acceptance within the local community. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, using interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings show that the transgender women of Yayasan Kebaya build their self-image through social communication, which includes active participation in community activities. This strategy has proven effective in shaping a positive image, as indicated by increased interaction and collaboration with local residents. The study concludes that social communication is a powerful tool for fostering an inclusive environment that respects diversity.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">302.4 Interaksi Sosial antar Kelompok</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">2025-07-18</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA;FAKULTAS DAKWAH DAN KOMUNIKASI</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Thesis</mods:genre></mods:mods>
