      "abstract": "The development of digital communication technology, especially social media based on\r\ncommunication applications such as WhatsApp, has formed a new social space in the digital space\r\nthat allows for virtual social interaction of religions. This phenomenon encourages the emergence\r\nof a new pattern in society, namely virtual society. People who shape patterns of attitudes,\r\nunderstanding, and practices of religion through digital media such as the WhatsApp channel.\r\nThis study aims to analyze how the form of religious behavior changes in the virtual community\r\nfollowers of Ustadz Hanan Attaki's WhatsApp channel using Peter L Berger's social construction\r\ntheory. This research includes qualitative research on a case study approach with data collection\r\ntechniques in the form of observation of direct participation in Ustadz Hanan Attaki's WhatsApp\r\nchannel, in-depth interviews with channel followers and documentation of messages conveyed in\r\nWhatsApp channels. Data analysis was carried out descriptive-interpretive with 3 dynamics in\r\nPeter L Berger's social construction, namely externalization, objectification and internalization.\r\nThe results of the study show that messages that are routinely conveyed in the WhatsApp\r\nchannel undergo a process of externalization as a subjective expression of religious leaders, which\r\nis then objectified through repetition and collective understanding and internalized in the\r\nindividual consciousness of the virtual community of WhatsApp channel followers as religious\r\nvalues that can shape religious understanding, attitudes and practices. This process shows that\r\ndigital spaces such as WhatsApp channels not only function as a medium for conveying religious\r\nvalues, but also as an arena in shaping a new religious social reality for virtual society. Thus, the\r\nchange in religious behavior that occurs in virtual society is not an instant and individual process,\r\nbut the result of a process of social construction that takes place gradually in virtual interaction.",
