Despite this, caregivers continue to show persistence in providing care for many years, ultimately finding meaning in life amid the crisis. The novelty of this study lies in the use of Pargament's religious coping theory with informal caregivers in patient shelter environments, which is then integrated with Imam Al-Ghazali's concepts of sabr (patience) and tawakkul (relying on God). This study aims to describe religious coping among informal caregivers of chronic disease patients at the IZI Patient Shelter (RSP) in Yogyakarta. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach through observation, unstructured planned interviews, and documentation of three main informants and five supporting informants. The results showed that caregivers applied a collaborative religious coping style in line with the value of tawakkul. The religious coping pattern was dominated by a positive pattern consisting of seven brief RCOPE points. Although there were indications of negative patterns, such as feelings of being punished or abandoned by God, these conditions were dynamic and transformed back into positive patterns through a process of reappraisal and social support in the patient shelter environment. This pattern of religious coping reflects the dimensions of sabr in obedience, sabr in avoiding sin, and sabr in accepting trials. %Z Noorkamilah, S.Ag., M.Si.
