      "abstract": "The profit-sharing practice from coffee bean sales between baristas and Hayati\r\nCoffee Roastery represents a form of business cooperation that has developed\r\nwithin the contemporary coffee industry. However, this practice has not been fully\r\nsupported by clear formal contractual arrangements, raising questions about its\r\ncompliance with Islamic legal principles. The main issues examined in this study\r\nare formulated into two research questions: how the profit-sharing practice from\r\ncoffee bean sales between baristas and Hayati Coffee Roastery can be reviewed\r\nfrom the perspective of Islamic law, particularly in relation to the wakālah bil ujrah\r\ncontract, and how Islamic law addresses the potential elements of gharar, riba, and\r\ninjustice within the implementation of the practice.\r\nThis study is a field research employing a qualitative approach with a\r\ndescriptive-analytical nature. Data were collected through observation, interviews,\r\nand documentation conducted at Hayati Coffee Roastery. The data sources consist\r\nof primary data obtained from interviews with baristas and management, as well\r\nas secondary data derived from literature on fiqh muamalah, regulations, and\r\nFatwa DSN-MUI No. 113\/DSN-MUI\/IX\/2017. The analysis applies the theory of\r\nwakālah bil ujrah and the theory of justice in Islamic law as analytical frameworks\r\nto assess the validity of the contract and the distribution of rights and obligations\r\namong the parties.\r\nThe findings indicate that the profit-sharing practice in coffee bean sales at\r\nHayati Coffee Roastery is structurally more appropriate to be classified as a\r\nwakālah bil ujrah contract, in which baristas act as agents receiving ujrah for their\r\nsales services. The practice does not involve riba and does not directly lead to\r\ngharar as long as transparency and clear agreements are maintained. Nevertheless,\r\nfrom the perspective of justice, clearer contractual arrangements are needed to\r\nensure that the distribution of compensation truly reflects the principles of justice,\r\nlegal certainty, and sharia values in muamalah.",
