This study applies a descriptive qualitative approach with semiotic analysis focusing on signs in the form of icons, indexes, and symbols that appear in the film. The results show that hypocrisy in this film is represented through three main characteristics: double-faced behavior, dishonesty (lying), and false oaths. Out of a total of eight analyzed scenes, 50% depict double-faced behavior, 37.5% depict dishonesty, and 12.5% depict false oaths. All of these characteristics fall under the type of hypocrisy known as nifaq amali. Characters such as Dr. Sandy, Abu Dardar, Alim, Pak Tomo, and Darul portray contradictions between their public image and hidden behavior. The representation of hypocrisy in the film Tuhan Izinkan Aku Berdosa is constructed through social and cultural processes shown via language, dialogue, symbols, and visuals, thereby shaping new audience perceptions of hypocrisy as a social phenomenon. Thus, the meaning of hypocrisy in this film does not merely reflect reality but is the result of constructed meaning as analyzed through the constructionist representation approach. %K hypocrisy; film; semiotics; constructionist %D 2025 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib76392
