      "abstract": "This research is motivated by the importance of communication and\r\nunderstanding in the process of learning the Qur’an, especially for deaf\r\npeople who have limited access to non verbal communication. Qur'an\r\nlearning, which is generally based on sound and hearing, presents a\r\nchallenge for the deaf community. This research uses a descriptive\r\nqualitative method. Data collection techniques were carried out through\r\nobservation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were\r\nmembers of the Yogyakarta Deaf Muslim Community (MULIA). Data\r\nanalysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and\r\ndrawing conclusions using triangulation techniques to maintain data\r\nvalidity. The results of this study indicate that non verbal\r\ncommunication plays a very important role in the process of learing the\r\nQur’an for deaf people. The forms of communication used include sign\r\nlanguage (BISINDO), facial expressions, gestures. Eye contact, and the\r\nuse of visualization. Non verbal communication has been proven to\r\nincrease the effectiveness of Qur’an learning by adapting to the visual\r\nand kinesthetic characteristics of deaf people. However, there are still\r\nobstacles such as differences in sign language abilities between\r\nindividuals and limited mastery of methods by teachers. There are two\r\nQur’an learning methods: Tilawah and Kitabah, which are more\r\nadaptable and improve teacher competence in non verbal\r\ncommunication. This research contributes to the development of more\r\ninclusive and user-friendly Qur’an learning for deaf people.",
