      "abstract": "The low interest and learning outcomes of students in social studies are\r\npartly triggered by the lack of use of interactive learning media. Based on\r\nobservations and interviews conducted with social studies teachers and fifthgrade\r\nelementary school students, it was found that social studies learning is still\r\nnot optimally implemented using only PowerPoint and textbooks. This causes\r\nstudents to feel bored, lack focus, and are not interested in studying social studies\r\nmaterial. This condition indicates that interest and learning outcomes in social\r\nstudies in fifth-grade elementary school are still low and require a more\r\ninteractive and contextual approach to increase student engagement.\r\nThis study aims to determine: (1) the design and development of video\r\nlearning media based on local wisdom culture to improve student interest and\r\nlearning outcomes, (2) the feasibility of video learning media based on local\r\nwisdom culture to improve student interest and learning outcomes, (3) the\r\neffectiveness of video learning media based on local wisdom culture to improve\r\nstudent interest in learning, and (4) the effectiveness of video learning media\r\nbased on local wisdom culture to improve student learning outcomes.\r\nThe research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the\r\nADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development Implementation-Evaluation) model with a\r\nquasi-experimental design. Data were collected through validation sheets, test\r\nquestions and learning interest questionnaires, then analyzed using validity,\r\nreliability, normality, homogeneity, Paired Sample t-test, Independent Sample ttest,\r\nand N-Gain calculations.\r\nThe results of the study indicate that: 1) learning video media based on\r\nlocal wisdom culture was developed through 5 stages, namely: analysis of needs\r\nin the field, designing videos based on local wisdom culture, testing the feasibility\r\nand practicality of learning videos, implementing video media in social studies\r\nlearning and evaluating learning outcomes from the use of the video media. 2)\r\nproduct feasibility is indicated by the teacher response value of 75% and student\r\nresponse of 79% which is classified as good category, learning videos are\r\neffective in increasing interest and learning outcomes with evidence of an average\r\nvalue of 42.68 before the application of the media increased after treatment by\r\n54.87 which is strengthened by the results of the hypothesis test where the sig\r\nvalue (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05 and the t count value of 5.156> t table 2.015.\r\nLikewise, the students' learning outcomes with an average pre-test score of 62.74\r\nincreased in the post-test by 91.77 which was strengthened by the results of the\r\nhypothesis test where the sig value (2-tailed) was 0.000 <0.05 and the t-count\r\nvalue was 10.109> t-table 2.015 with an N-Gain of 0.78 which was classified as\r\nhigh. This study proves that the use of video learning media based on local\r\nwisdom culture is effective in increasing interest and learning outcomes in the\r\nsocial studies subject of class V of Elementary School.",
