      "abstract": "Da'iyah communication in building recognition of tarawih kultum faces various\r\nchallenges, including in mosques on campuses in the Special Region of\r\nYogyakarta. This is driven by the fact that the practice of tarawih kultum is still\r\ndominated by male participation and still considers women unsuitable to appear\r\nas religious communicators. This study aims to determine the trust of mosque\r\nadministrators and congregations in female preachers, analyze female preachers'\r\ncommunication in building recognition, and identify the obstacles faced by female\r\npreachers in building recognition in five campus mosques in the Special Region of\r\nYogyakarta. The research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological\r\napproach. Field research data collection techniques include observation,\r\ninterviews, and documentation. Data validity is ensured using the triangulation\r\nmethod, namely source, space, and time triangulation. Meanwhile, data analysis\r\nbegins with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concludes with\r\ndrawing conclusions. The research used Mayer, Davis, and Schoorman's theory of\r\ntrust, deVito's theory of interpersonal communication, Honneth's theory of\r\nrecognition, and Qibtiyah's understanding of Muslim gender. The results of the\r\nstudy show that the trust of takmir and jama'ah is formed through the\r\ninterrelationship between ability, benevolence, and integrity. Takmir tend to\r\nrecognize da'iyah based on their knowledge and academic capabilities, while\r\njama'ah recognize da'iyah based on their ability to convey the message of da'wah.\r\nCommunication between da'iyahs and congregants tends to foster recognition in\r\nterms of love or emotional relationships and solidarity, but has not yet gained\r\nrecognition in terms of legal or policy relationships in some campus mosques. The\r\nmain obstacle for da'iyahs in building recognition stems from differences in\r\nopinion regarding the appearance of women in tarawih sermons at the main\r\npulpit and in front of men. This perspective led the mosque administrators to\r\ndecide not to involve female da'iyah in legal or policy recognition that would\r\ncover them.",
