The research question in this study is: What are the forms of caregiver burden experienced by mothers of children with autism in Ngemplak Subdistrict, Sleman Regency? This study aims to explore and describe the forms of caregiver burden experienced by mothers. The method used is qualitative research of a descriptive nature, employing data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews and observation as supporting data. The results of the study indicate that the forms of caregiver burden experienced by mothers include economic burden, psychological burden, physical burden, and social burden. Psychological burden is the most dominant form, characterized by feelings of anxiety, emotional exhaustion, and concerns about the child’s future. Meanwhile, economic, physical, and social burdens emerge as accompanying forms of burden and, under certain conditions, further intensify the psychological stress experienced.
