bibo:abstract "This study is motivated by the important role of parents in shaping the discipline of\r\nperforming prayer (salat) among early adolescents. Neglectful parenting,\r\ncharacterized by a lack of attention, supervision, and emotional involvement, is\r\nassumed to influence the low level of discipline in performing salat. Therefore, this\r\nstudy aims to determine the effect of neglectful parenting on the discipline of\r\nperforming salat among early adolescents.\r\nThis research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The\r\nsubjects of this study were 101 students of MTs Hidayatullah Yogyakarta. Data\r\nwere collected using questionnaires developed based on indicators of neglectful\r\nparenting and discipline in performing salat. The data were analyzed using Pearson\r\ncorrelation and simple linear regression to determine the relationship and influence\r\nbetween variables.\r\nThe results showed that there is a negative and significant relationship between\r\nneglectful parenting and the discipline of performing salat, with a correlation\r\ncoefficient of r = -0.565 and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This indicates\r\nthat the higher the level of neglectful parenting, the lower the level of students’\r\ndiscipline in performing salat. The results of simple linear regression analysis show\r\nthat neglectful parenting has a negative and significant effect on the discipline of\r\nperforming salat, with a regression coefficient of -1.208 and a significance value of\r\n0.000. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.319, indicating that\r\nneglectful parenting contributes 31.9% to the discipline of performing salat, while\r\nthe remaining is influenced by other factors outside this study.\r\nBased on these findings, it can be concluded that neglectful parenting has a\r\nsignificant effect on the discipline of performing salat among early adolescents. The\r\nimplications of this study are expected to serve as a reference in the development\r\nof Islamic guidance and counseling services, particularly in enhancing the role of\r\nparents in guiding children's discipline in worship."^^xsd:string;
