      "abstract": "The phenomenon of early marriage remains a social problem that impacts family\r\nlife, especially on aspects of economic, social, physical, and psychological wellbeing.\r\nEarly couples tend to have limited emotional, economic, and knowledge\r\nreadiness in living a household. This study aims to determine and describe the role\r\nof Religious Counselors in improving family welfare for early couples at the KUA\r\nGamping Sleman DIY. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive\r\ntype. The research subjects consisted of four Religious Counselors and two early\r\ncouples who married under the age of 19. Data collection techniques included\r\nnon-participant observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and\r\ndocumentation. Data validity was tested through source triangulation, while data\r\nanalysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model which includes data\r\nreduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study\r\nindicate that religious counselors play the role of educators through providing\r\nguidance on financial management, conflict management, effective\r\ncommunication, family jurisprudence, and reproductive health. The role of\r\nconsultants is carried out through direct assistance to household problems, the role\r\nof mediators through neutral resolution of family conflicts, and the role of\r\nadvocates through protecting the rights of early couples. This study concludes that\r\nthe role of Religious Counselors contributes to improving the family welfare of\r\nyoung couples, although its implementation remains a gradual and ongoing\r\nprocess.",
