contribution to regional development, both socially and economically, by
prioritizing local communities. The development of tourism villages, particularly
religious tourism, represents a form of tourism that emphasizes local potential,
community empowerment, and the preservation of religious and cultural values.
Religious tourism has become an interesting issue to study, considering that the
majority of Indonesia’s population is Muslim. However, many religious tourism
sites have not been optimally developed due to the limited utilization of local assets
and suboptimal management models. This study analyzes asset mapping and
management models at the tomb of Syekh Maulana Ishaq. It aims to examine asset
mapping using the 4A approach (Attraction, Amenities, Accessibility, and
Ancillary) and the management model using the Asset-Based Community
Development (ABCD) approach in the religious tourism area of the Syekh Maulana
Ishaq Tomb in Paciran District. This research employs a qualitative method with
data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation.
The results indicate that the Syekh Maulana Ishaq Tomb possesses strong potential
as a spiritual and historical attraction, supported by adequate visitor facilities, easy
and strategic accessibility, and various supporting services, including healthcare
services and local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Furthermore,
the tourism management model reflects the practical implementation of the ABCD
approach, which encourages community empowerment, enhances religious
education, and promotes local economic development. This study demonstrates that
the active role of local communities in developing religious tourism can strengthen
the sustainability of management while simultaneously fostering long-term
community empowerment.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">338.4 Industri Pariwisata</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">2026-04-28</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA;FAKULTAS DAKWAH DAN KOMUNIKASI</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Thesis</mods:genre></mods:mods>
