emotional wounds have become a complex psychological issue because they affect
not only emotional conditions but also self-meaning, spirituality, and an
individual’s relationship with God. In the Islamic perspective, emotional wounds
are understood as maradhul qalb (disease of the heart), which disrupt inner peace
and life balance. This study aims to explore clients’ subjective experiences in the
healing process of emotional wounds through Islamic hypnotherapy and to
understand their spiritual meaning-making during the process at Metamorfosa
Psychology Bureau. This study employs a qualitative approach with a
phenomenological method to deeply examine participants’ lived experiences
through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The research
subjects were clients in the emerging adulthood stage (18–29 years old) who had
undergone Islamic hypnotherapy. The findings show that Islamic hypnotherapy not
only helps clients access and release past emotional wounds but also creates new
spiritual meaning through dhikr, Islamic suggestions, tawhid affirmations, and selfreflection.
Clients experienced greater inner peace, self-acceptance, forgiveness,
and spiritual reconnection with Allah. The healing process was interpreted not
merely as psychological recovery but also as a spiritual transformation that
strengthened sincerity, patience, trust in God, and self-awareness as part of life’s
journey.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">158.3 Psikologi Konseling, Penyuluhan, Bimbingan Konseling</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">2026-05-12</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA;FAKULTAS DAKWAH DAN KOMUNIKASI</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Thesis</mods:genre></mods:mods>
