These conditions highlight the importance of empowerment approaches that focus not only on the physical well-being of older adults but also on their psychosocial dimensions. This study aims to examine the implementation process of psychosocial empowerment among older adults through a Memory Card-based narrative intervention at Yayasan Al-Jenderami, Malaysia, and to determine what influences its execution, both positively and negatively. A descriptive qualitative technique was used in this study. Participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies were used to gather data. Twelve senior citizens and three facilitators who were chosen using purposive sample methods made up the informants. The Miles and Huberman interactive model was used for data analysis, which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. By using source and technique triangulation, the data's validity was guaranteed. The results show that the narrative intervention based on memory cards produced a contemplative and engaging environment that inspired senior citizens to share their life experiences, strengthen social relationships, enhance their sense of self-worth, and reconstruct positive meanings of life and self-identity. Supporting factors included the foundation’s religious and supportive environment, participants’ openness, and the use of simple yet engaging media.
