It aims to determine how strategic management at the Daaru Hira Islamic Boarding School in Maguwoharjo enhances its students' (santri) da'wah competence. Using qualitative field methods—interviews, observation, and documentation—the study reveals that the institution successfully implements strategic management. It establishes clear character-building goals based on inner readiness rather than rigid exam scores. To alleviate mental stress, traditional speech training is replaced with group discussions (life coaching) alongside basic kitab kuning (classic Islamic books) studies. These strategies are applied through practical assignments, such as teaching Al-Qur'an and preaching, tailored to each student's confidence level. The Kyai and musyrif evaluate students through direct observation.
