abstract: This study aims to examine the application of Public Relations (PR) management functions in maintaining prospective students' interest through social media, specifically Instagram, at Pondok Pesantren Ibnul Qoyyim Putra Yogyakarta. A qualitative descriptive research method was employed, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation. Based on Rosady Ruslan's (2016) theory, PR management functions include planning, organizing, communicating, supervising, and evaluating. The findings indicate that the PR team systematically implements management functions via Instagram features such as Reels, photos, videos, Stories, Captions, and Direct Messages (DM). The PR team has established a dedicated group for content production and publication while engaging in two-way communication with the audience. Routine evaluations are conducted to assess message effectiveness and refine communication strategies. The PR management functions are crucial in maintaining a positive institutional image and sustaining prospective students' interest through well-planned digital communication strategies.
