Various personal and environmental factors are assumed to play a role in the emergence of academic anxiety, including personality and family support. This study aims to examine the influence of HEXACO personality dimensions and family support on academic anxiety among university students. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research subjects were students in the third semester or higher who were studying at universities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), Indonesia. Data were collected using the Academic Anxiety Scale, Family Support Scale, and HEXACO Personality Scale. Multiple linear regression analysis was employed to examine the influence of independent variables on academic anxiety. The results showed that the HEXACO personality dimensions and family support simultaneously had a significant effect on students’ academic anxiety. Partially, several personality dimensions showed significant effects to academic anxiety. These findings indicate that personality characteristics and family support play an important role in influencing the level of academic anxiety among students. The results of this study highlight the importance of considering personality factors and family support in understanding and reducing academic anxiety among university students.
