This situation highlights the need for community empowerment initiatives that not only focus on economic aspects but are also integrated with religious values. This study aims to analyse the role of Islamic Religious Counsellors in the economic empowerment of the community in Kampung Madani, Arjasa Sub-district, Jember Regency, the strategies employed in the empowerment process, and the resulting impact on the community. The research questions in this study include how the role, strategies, and impact of empowerment carried out by religious counsellors contribute to improving community welfare.  This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research informants consisted of Islamic religious counsellors in Arjasa Sub-district and members of the Kampung Madani community involved in the empowerment programme. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was strengthened through source and technique triangulation.  The research findings indicate that Islamic religious counsellors play a significant role as spiritual guides, motivators, educators, and facilitators in community economic empowerment. The strategies employed are participatory in nature, utilising a religious approach, skills training, business mentoring, and the utilisation of zakat, infak, sedekah, and productive waqf funds. The impacts felt by the community include increased income, the growth of micro-enterprises, improved skills, and the strengthening of spiritual, social, and educational aspects. Thus, the empowerment efforts undertaken are capable of promoting the community’s independence and well-being in a sustainable manner.
