TPA Masjid Al-Barokah, Kranggan Bantul is an institution that has implemented the method of getting used to polite behaviour in children aged 4-6 years. This research aims to describe the application of the method of getting used to polite behaviour in children aged 4-6 years and to know the supporting and inhibiting factors from the etiquette guidebook. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subject consists of the head of the TPA, a PAUD class teacher, and 9 children aged 4–6 years. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained is then analysed through the stage of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.&#13;
The research results show that they have applied the method of getting used to polite manners well, consistently, and in accordance with the guidelines of the Manners. This success is measured through four main indicators, namely: 1) Aspects of speech etiquette, children are used to speaking soft, polite words (board), and avoiding profanity; 2) Walking etiquette, children spontaneously say hello or excuse me (benderek langkung) while bowing in front of older people; 3) Manners towards older people, shown by slightly bending over when passing by and not standing around the elderly sitting parents, although occasionally children are still found standing or leaving the line; 4) Social etiquette, reflected through the culture of greeting, kissing hands and the attitude of helping each other. The success of this method is supported by the existence of the Bertata Krama Guidance Book as a curriculum standard, the teacher's/uswah hasanah (uswah), the cost of donation is voluntary, evaluation/monthly deliberation activities, and the educator's philosophical understanding.
