      "abstract": "Low student engagement in the learning process has resulted in suboptimal\r\ncognitive learning outcomes on the topic of temperature. The Discovery Learning\r\nmodel actively involves students in discovering concepts and solving learning\r\nproblems. This study aims to analyze improvements in students’ cognitive learning\r\noutcomes on the topic of temperature, as well as the effectiveness of implementing\r\nDiscovery Learning supported by hypercontent e-modules.\r\nThis study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental\r\ndesign of the non-equivalent control group type. The study sample consisted of 29\r\nstudents in the experimental class and 22 students in the control class, selected using\r\npurposive sampling. The research instrument consists of 11 multiple-choice\r\nquestions that have been validated to measure cognitive learning outcomes through\r\npretests and posttests. The data were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney test, NGain\r\ncalculations, and effect size.\r\nThe results of the study indicate a significant difference in the improvement\r\nof cognitive learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control\r\nclass, with a Mann–Whitney p-value of 0.018 (<0.05). The experimental class\r\nachieved an N-Gain score of 0.71, classified as high, while the control class\r\nachieved a score of 0.46, classified as moderate. Nevertheless, the effect size\r\ncalculation of 0.3 indicates that the impact of implementing Discovery Learning\r\nsupported by hypercontent e-modules falls into the small category. These findings\r\nsuggest that Discovery Learning supported by hypercontent e-modules is more\r\neffective than expository learning in improving students’ cognitive learning\r\noutcomes on the topic of temperature. However, its implementation still requires\r\nfurther development to optimize the resulting learning effects.",
