Since students have active and diverse learning characteristics, appropriate learning approaches are required. Therefore, this study examines the implementation of kinesthetic intelligence and spiritual intelligence in improving Qur’anic memorization in Islamic Religious Education learning at SD IT Luqman Al Hakim Yogyakarta. This study employed a qualitative approach with a field research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving tahfiz teachers, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and school administrators. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing using Howard Gardner’s theory of kinesthetic intelligence and Imam Al-Ghazali’s concept of spiritual intelligence. The findings reveal that kinesthetic intelligence was implemented through hand gestures, varied memorization repetition, active learning, and physical activities that enhanced students’ concentration and memorization. Spiritual intelligence was implemented through prayer habituation, the development of proper intentions and etiquette toward the Qur’an, worship practices, consistent muraja’ah, and teacher role modeling. The integration of these intelligences improved students’ fluency, accuracy, and retention of Qur’anic memorization. In addition, it created an active, religious, and enjoyable learning environment while fostering discipline, responsibility, and love for the Qur’an. %Z Dr. Ahmad Arifi, M.Ag.
