      "abstract": "This study aims to: (1) analyze the characteristics of\r\ncharacter-based affective assessment instruments\r\nusing the mars survey application in Indonesian\r\nlanguage subjects in grade V SD\/MI; (2) determine the\r\nproduct quality of character-based affective\r\nassessment instruments using the mars survey\r\napplication in Indonesian language subjects in grade V\r\nSD\/MI; and (3) analyze the effectiveness of characterbased\r\naffective assessment instrument products using\r\nMars survey application in Indonesian language\r\nsubjects in grade V SD\/MI.\r\nThis research uses the ADDIE development model,\r\nwhich consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design,\r\nDevelopment, Implementation, and Evaluation. The\r\nresearch subjects included three instrument expert\r\nvalidators, teachers and grade V students of SD Negeri\r\nDepok 1. Research data consists of two types, namely\r\nqualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data was\r\nobtained through observation, documentation and\r\nquestionnaires. Meanwhile, quantitative data was\r\nobtained from the results of filling out the assessment\r\nquestionnaire and aimed to determine the quality of the\r\nempirically developed instruments, including the level\r\nof validity and reliability of the instruments with the\r\nhelp of IBM SPSS 26 software.\r\nThe results of the development of this character-based\r\naffective assessment tool are suitable for use with the results of instrument expert validation showing that the\r\nproduct is \"Valid with Revision\", with validation\r\nresults from V1 instrument experts with 100% scroll\r\n(category \"very interesting\"), validation of V2\r\ninstrument experts with a score of 90.4% (category\r\n\"very interesting\"), V3 instrument expert with a score\r\nof 88.96 (category \"very interesting\"), to the overall\r\nvalue of the three instrument expert validators with the\r\naverage value of each indicator ranging from 90.93%\r\nto 95.8%, The validity test shows 35 valid statements\r\ndue to the calculation of the > rtable, and the reliability\r\ntest of the Cronbach Alpha value > the value of a\r\nreliability coefficient of 0.7, then the affective\r\nassessment instrument based on the character is\r\nreliable. Thus, the character-based affective\r\nassessment instrument developed is effectively used as\r\na tool to assess students' affective domains such as\r\nattitudes, interests, self-concept, intentions and morals.",
