      "abstract": "The availability of a stable wireless network Wi-Fi in a high-density environment,\r\nsuch as the Faculty of Science and Technology at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, plays an\r\nimportant role in supporting academic activities. Although 40 Access Point (AP)\r\nunits have been installed, the existing network infrastructure still experiences\r\nseveral problems, such as uneven signal distribution, blank spot areas, and unstable\r\nconnections during peak usage hours. This project aims to analyze the performance\r\nof the existing Wi-Fi network based on the Received Signal Strength Indicator\r\n(RSSI), Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), and channel interference parameters, as well\r\nas to design an optimization scenario for AP configuration and placement without\r\nadding new hardware devices.\r\nThis project uses the Continuous Passive Site Survey method with the help of\r\nEkahau AI Pro software. Data collection was carried out in four different time\r\nperiods to compare network performance under low traffic conditions during\r\nRamadan and high traffic conditions after Eid al-Fitr. The optimization process\r\nadopts the PPDIOO (Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate, Optimize)\r\nframework by adjusting AP placement, channel planning, and transmit power\r\nconfiguration.\r\nThe evaluation results show that the existing network experiences severe saturation\r\nand Co-Channel Interference (CCI) in the 2.4 GHz frequency band. In addition, the\r\n5 GHz frequency band experiences coverage reduction due to signal attenuation\r\ncaused by reinforced concrete walls. Through redesign simulation, this project\r\nproposes an optimization solution to ensure the network coverage meets the Quality\r\nof Service (QoS) standards, namely RSSI ≥ -65 dBm and SNR ≥ 25 dB. The final\r\nresults of this project provide several technical recommendations, including AP\r\nrelocation, frequency management, band steering activation, and transmit power\r\nadjustment to improve network stability and user access quality.",
