Trio Yonathan Teja Kusuma, S.T., M.T., IPM. abstract: PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (INALUM) is an aluminium smelting company whose operations involve a high level of potential hazard, particularly within the Casting Department. Production processes involving high-temperature molten aluminium, the use of heavy machinery, and a complex working environment have the potential to cause workplace accidents and health problems among workers. This study aims to identify potential hazards, assess occupational risk levels, and provide risk control recommendations using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) method. Data collection was carried out through field observations, interviews, documentation, and the distribution of questionnaires to workers in the Casting Department of PT INALUM. The HIRARC method was applied through the stages of hazard identification, risk assessment based on likelihood and severity, and the determination of risk controls in accordance with the hierarchy of controls. The research results indicate that the potential hazards identified stem from physical, mechanical, chemical, and work behaviour factors. High risk factors are dominated by exposure to extreme heat and splashes of molten aluminium, the risk of being struck by a forklift, and the risk of being crushed or struck by materials during product handling. Recommended risk controls include technical and administrative controls, increased work supervision, health and safety training, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
