bibo:abstract "CV. Jagal Kayu Sejahtera Abadi is a manufacturing company engaged in the\r\nproduction of wooden tableware, kitchenware, and handicrafts using a make-toorder\r\nproduction system. The complexity of the production process involving\r\nmachinery, wood materials, and manual work activities creates various potential\r\nhazards that may lead to workplace accidents and disrupt production targets.\r\nTherefore, systematic hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control efforts\r\nare required. This study aims to identify potential hazards, assess risk levels using\r\nthe Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) method, and provide risk\r\ncontrol recommendations through the Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP)\r\nmethod. Hazard validation was conducted using the Content Validity Ratio (CVR)\r\nmethod based on assessments from five supervisor-level workers to ensure the\r\nrelevance of identified hazards. Risk levels were determined by combining severity\r\nand likelihood values using a risk matrix. The results identified 19 validated hazard\r\nsources, dominated by chemical hazards such as wood dust, sanding dust, coating\r\nvapor exposure, and fire potential. The sanding process had the highest number of\r\nhazard findings, while the shaping process showed the highest average risk score\r\nof 20. Risk classification consisted of 16% extreme, 26% high, 42% moderate, and\r\n16% low categories. Proposed risk controls included 10 substitution actions, 16\r\nengineering controls, 19 administrative controls, and 15 uses of personal protective\r\nequipment (PPE). Additional recommendations included occupational safety SOPs,\r\nhazard posters, safety signs, work accident report sheets, and first aid kit standards\r\nto support a safer working environment."^^xsd:string;
