bibo:abstract "The increase in demand for paraformaldehyde products at PT Dover Chemical has\r\nled to a rise in the number of trucks entering the loading area, resulting in queues\r\nand relatively long wait times. These conditions indicate limitations in the capacity\r\nof the material handling facilities to support the smooth flow of the distribution\r\nprocess. This study aims to analyze the operational performance of the loading\r\nsystem and evaluate the feasibility of investing in additional material handling\r\nfacilities to increase service capacity and reduce vehicle wait times. The methods\r\nemployed include forecasting using linear regression to predict the number of truck\r\narrivals and discrete event simulation (DES) using FlexSim software to analyze\r\nexisting conditions and proposed improvement scenarios. Additionally, an\r\ninvestment feasibility analysis was conducted using the Net Present Value (NPV),\r\nAnnual Equivalent (AE), Payback Period (PP), and Return on Investment (ROI)\r\nmethods. The research results show that the number of trucks increases from 30\r\ntrucks/day in 2026 to 43 trucks/day in 2033. Under existing conditions, the loading\r\nsystem can only serve 15 trucks. After adding facilities specifically 2 s and 2 s\r\nservice capacity increases to 30 trucks/day. To meet service needs for 2027–2033,\r\nthe fleet was expanded to include 3 s and 3 s. The investment analysis results show\r\nan NPV of Rp5,855,011,140 and Rp11,710,394,592, an AE of Rp896,764,392/year\r\nand Rp1,793,585,808/year, a payback period of 8 months, and an ROI of 1,190%,\r\nthereby deeming the investment feasible."^^xsd:string;
