Alis Jaya Ciptatama is a furniture manufacturing company operating on a Make-to-Order (MTO) system, characterized by a wide variety of products and strict production targets, which may potentially lead to mental workload among finishing workers. This study aims to analyze the level of mental workload among finishing workers using the National Aeronautics and Space Administration-Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) and Overall Workload Level (OWL) methods, as well as to compare the results of these two measurement methods. The study was conducted on 24 finishing workers using a quantitative approach through questionnaire distribution, workplace environment measurement, and weighting using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The results showed that based on the NASA-TLX method, the dominant dimensions contributing to mental workload were Own Performance (74.17), Effort (69.17), and Mental Demand (62.50). The average Overall Workload (OW) score of 59.81 on the NASA-TLX fell into the high category. Meanwhile, the results of the OWL method showed that most workers were in the high category, with dominant factors being mental job demand, physical job demand, work environment conditions, and Temporal Discomfort. Meanwhile, the results of the OWL method showed that most workers fell into the “high” category, with the dominant factors being mental job demand, physical job demand, work environment conditions, and temporal discomfort. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed a significance value of 0.090 (>0.05), indicating that there was no significant difference between the NASA-TLX and OWL methods. The Spearman Rho correlation test yielded a value of rs = -0.145 with Sig. 0.500 (>0.05), indicating no significant correlation between the two methods. Nevertheless, both methods consistently indicate that finishing workers experience moderate to high workloads. date: 2026-05-25 date_type: published pages: 167 institution: UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: FAKULTAS SAINS DAN TEKNOLOGI thesis_type: skripsi thesis_name: other citation: Novita Ramadhani, NIM.: 22106060055 (2026) ANALISIS BEBAN KERJA MENTAL MENGGUNAKAN METODE NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION - TASK LOAD INDEX (NASA-TLX) DAN OVERALL WORKLOAD LEVEL (OWL) (STUDI KASUS : PT.
