JAVA KARYA PARAMA, MAGELANG</mods:title></mods:titleInfo><mods:name type="personal"><mods:namePart type="given">NIM.: 22106060056</mods:namePart><mods:namePart type="family">Faikur Rohman</mods:namePart><mods:role><mods:roleTerm type="text">author</mods:roleTerm></mods:role></mods:name><mods:abstract>This study aims to analyze Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) risks in welding activities for fire extinguisher pipe installation at PT. Java Karya Parama using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determining Control (HIRADC) method. Welding activities have high potential hazards such as exposure to welding fumes, sparks, welding radiation, noise, high workplace temperatures, and non-ergonomic working postures that may cause work accidents and occupational diseases. This study employed a descriptive method with a semi-quantitative approach using the HIRADC risk matrix, with data collection techniques including field observations, interviews, temperature and noise measurements, and documentation studies. The results showed that 13 potential hazards were identified in the preparation, welding process, and housekeeping stages. The risk assessment results indicated 7 high-risk categories and 6 medium-risk categories. The highest risks were welding fumes and welding radiation with a risk value of 15, while high noise levels, high workplace temperatures, sparks, electric shock, and non-ergonomic working postures had a risk value of 12. The workplace environment measurements showed a noise level of 92 dB(A) and a workplace temperature of 32°C, exceeding the established standards. Risk control was carried out based on the hierarchy of controls through elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). After the recommended risk controls were designed, all high-risk categories were estimated to be reduced to medium and low-risk categories.
