      "abstract": "Mental workload and work stress are common issues faced by workers in the\r\ngarment industry, particularly in the sewing department with high production\r\ndemands and limited time. This study aims to identify the highest dimensions, levels,\r\nand relationship between mental workload and work stress among sewing\r\ndepartment employees across three activities, namely thumb sewing (A), hand body\r\nsewing (B), and velcro and logo sewing (C) at PT XYZ, using a quantitative method\r\nwith NASA-TLX and HSE-WRSS instruments involving 20 respondents per activity.\r\nResults showed that Temporal Demand was consistently the highest mental\r\nworkload dimension across all activities with average scores of 77.5, 71.5, and\r\n70.5. The Control dimension recorded the highest work stress in Activities A (4.58)\r\nand B (4.61), while the Role dimension was highest in Activity C (4.33). Mental\r\nworkload levels in Activities A and B were classified as high with scores of 63.47\r\nand 61.18, while Activity C was moderate with 59.40. Work stress across all\r\nactivities was classified as moderate with scores of 139.15, 132.40, and 137.80. A\r\nsignificant and positive relationship between mental workload and work stress was\r\nconfirmed through simple linear regression in Activity A (Sig. 0.023; R²=0.254) and\r\nSpearman Rho correlation in Activities B (r=0.734) and C (r=0.741), both\r\ncategorized as strong.",
