One of its implementations can be seen in Story Protocol, which enables creative works to be recorded as IP Assets, licensed through smart contracts, and monetized automatically through digital royalty systems. However, the use of this technology raises legal issues within the Indonesian legal system, mainly because blockchain users are represented only by pseudonymous wallet addresses. This condition makes it difficult to prove that the party registering a work is a legitimate legal subject, has legal capacity, and has a lawful relationship with the recorded work. This study employs a normative legal research method with a prescriptive character. The approaches adopted are the statutory approach and the conceptual approach. The study is conducted by applying copyright theory, the theory of legal capacity, and the theory of legal protection as analytical frameworks for examining the model under investigation. The secondary data will be analysed using an analytical-prescriptive technique within a qualitative approach. The results of this research show that; First, on-chain copyright registration cannot be positioned as a substitute for the official copyright registration system administered by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property. Blockchain can only provide technical evidence in the form of Transaction hashes, timestamps, metadata, and Transaction history. Therefore, a legal subject verification model consisting of three layers is required: proof of technical control over a wallet through wallet signature proof, on-chain registration of IP Assets, and legal identity reinforcement through digital affidavits, Know Your Customer procedures, Electronic Certification Providers, and Certified Electronic Signatures. This model can strengthen the connection between pseudonymous blockchain identities and real legal subjects within the Indonesian legal system. Second, Legal protection for creators in the on-chain copyright ecosystem can be realized through preventive and repressive protection. Preventive protection is provided through clear metadata, Rights Management Information, licensing terms, smart contracts, and automated royalty mechanisms. Repressive protection is provided through the use of on-chain data as electronic evidence, digital affidavits, certified electronic signatures, and dispute resolution through litigation or alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. Therefore, on-chain copyright registration and licensing can strengthen legal protection for creators when integrated with legal identity verification and positioned as a supporting instrument within the national legal system. date: 2026-05-25 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: id identifier: https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/76916/1/22103040050_BAB-I_IV-atau-V_DAFTAR-PUSTAKA.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/76916/2/22103040050_BAB-II_sampai_SEBELUM-BAB-TERAKHIR.pdf identifier: Arif Nailal WIdadi, NIM.: 22103040050 (2026) MODEL VERIFIKASI SUBJEK HUKUM UNTUK LISENSI HAK CIPTA ON-CHAIN DI INDONESIA (ANALISIS IMPLEMENTASI TEKNOLOGI LISENSI KEKAYAAN INTELEKTUAL DALAM EKOSISTEM BLOCKCHAIN).
