"Article 32 of Law Number 41 of 2004 concerning Waqf requires the\r\nregistration of waqf assets as a form of legal protection and orderly waqf\r\nadministration. This registration is an important step to ensure legal certainty\r\nregarding the status of waqf assets and prevent future disputes or misuse. This study\r\naims to determine and analyze the implementation of Article 32 of Law Number 41\r\nof 2004 concerning the registration of waqf assets at the Ministry of Religious\r\nAffairs of Yogyakarta City, as well as to identify obstacles encountered in its\r\nimplementation.\r\nThis study uses an empirical legal research method with a sociological\r\njuridical approach. Data were obtained through interviews with the Yogyakarta\r\nCity Ministry of Religious Affairs and a documentation study of laws and\r\nregulations and documents related to waqf registration. The results of the study\r\nindicate that the implementation of Article 32 of Law Number 41 of 2004 at the\r\nYogyakarta City Ministry of Religious Affairs has, in principle, been carried out in\r\naccordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations. However, in practice,\r\nseveral obstacles are still encountered, including low awareness among nazhir and\r\nwakif regarding the registration of waqf assets, limited completeness of\r\nadministrative documents, and a lack of public understanding regarding the\r\nimportance of waqf registration. Therefore, increased socialization, mentoring, and\r\ncoordination between related agencies to optimize the registration of waqf assets in\r\norder to achieve certainty and legal protection for waqf.\r\nThis study concludes that the effectiveness of the implementation of Article\r\n32 of Law No. 41 of 2004 in the Yogyakarta Ministry of Religious Affairs is greatly\r\ninfluenced by derivative regulatory factors, legal socialization, the capacity of the\r\nwaqf administrators, and coordination between related institutions. Therefore\r\nincreased socialization are needed, strengthening of the waqf administration system,\r\nand synergy between the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the National Land Agency,\r\nand the waqf administrators are needed to ensure that all waqf assets are legally\r\nregistered, thus providing maximum legal protection and ensuring the sustainability\r\nof the waqf's social function in society."^^ .
